The importance of STEM education

The U.S. economy could benefit from more workers who are knowledgeable in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Large numbers of STEM jobs are reportedly going unfilled.

 

And in 2013, Hart Research Associates surveyed several hundred employers and found the majority strongly supported higher education that engages students in hands-on learning activities, including “collaborative problem solving, internships, research, senior projects, and community engagements.”
