Awards and Recognition

Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery is one of seven Wisconsin companies awarded a prestigious Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award. The winners were announced Thursday night at a black tie banquet honoring the 40 nominees.  With a high quality, wholesome product, a good reputation and loyal customers, they have continued to expand production to keep up with growing demand for their products.

Today their Ellsworth facility is fondly known as the Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin, a title given by Governor Anthony S. Earl back in 1984.
Paul Bauer, CEO/Manager of Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, and also a member of the Momentum West board of directors, said "Accepting this award is easy. It's the dedication of the patron farm families of our cooperative, our devoted and talented staff, and our loyal customers, that makes this recognition possible. They’re the ones who do the hard work."

Receiving the Medium Category Manufacturer of the Year award was Spectrum Industries Inc. of Chippewa Falls.  Spectrum Industries is the premier manufacturer of furnishing products that facilitate learning by incorporating innovative designs with technology and communications equipment. As an SBA-certified small business based in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Spectrum specializes in the manufacturing of Laptop, Notebook, Netbook and Mini-Laptop Storage Carts, Integrated Audio-Visual (A/V) Lecterns, Multi-Media, Video Conferencing and Remote Learning Instructor's Carts and Cabinets, Computer Lab Desks, Multi-Use Furniture, Training Tables, Classroom Furniture, Office Furniture, Mobile Carts, Chairs and Seating.

Celebrating its 27th year, the Manufacturer of the Year Award program recognizes manufacturers of all sizes and industries for their contributions to the great state of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges representing manufacturing, service and the public sector.

The accounting and advisory firm of Baker Tilly, the law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, and the business association Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce sponsor the MOTY awards program.
