Should you Google “regionalism”, the first definition to pop up is “the theory or practice of regional rather than central systems of administration or economic, cultural or political affiliation.”
By definition and structure, the Dunn County Economic Development Corporation is a regional organization. Known to most of as Dunn County, according to the U.S. Census Bureau our region is the Menomonie Micropolitan Statistical Area, sandwiched between the Eau Claire Metropolitan Statistical Area (which is comprised of Eau Claire and Chippewa counties) and Pierce and St. Croix counties, which are the easternmost counties of the 16-county Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan Statistical Area.
