Local owners named Toppers franchisees of the year

At its convention in June, Toppers Pizza’s coveted Franchisees of the Year award went to Caro and Andy Johnson, local Dunn County franchisees who own locations in Menomonie, Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. The Menomonie restaurant also received The Bolt award, officially making it the fastest Toppers Pizza location in the country at taking and making orders, with an out-the-door time of 14 minutes.

In 1997, the Johnsons became Toppers Pizza’s first-ever franchisees at age 24, fresh out of college. As an employee, Andy was familiar with the brand and Toppers Pizza Founder and President Scott Gittrich was a friend during his time at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater; he also worked at Toppers Pizza.
