Embracing a 3-D Future

2 Jan 2017

Students don’t have to wait anymore! Prototyping used to take several weeks, if not months to complete. Now, the University of Wisconsin-Stout has a new tool in their belt that is allowing students to ride the wave of the future. 3-D printing technology is combing low-cost of production with an intrinsic design flexibility, and in so doing allowing the minds of the future to work faster on the problems of today.

UW-Stout students and professors are literally riding the wave of the future with regular use of 3-D printers in a variety of fields. From engineering, to technology like robotics classes, and even art classes the students at the UW-Stout are creating structural design, jewelry, sculpture, and even engineering prototypes that are fast tracking their hands on education in these fields. Students who graduate these programs, http://ow.ly/rJCx304jWYD are finding a warm welcome in a local and wide open job market.
