Co-op partnership builds donation of healthy food

Local food co-op customers, farmers, and vendors provide healthy, locally grown, and organic foods to local food pantry.

Menomonie Market Food Co-op, in partnership with their distributors, farmer vendors, and customers finalized their 2016-17 fundraising in support of Stepping Stones Food Pantry. Co-op Customers raised more than $3,000 in cash, local farmers contributed pallets of organic produce, and distributors contributed the remaining pallets of healthy soups, broths and vegetables, for a total donation of $15,000.

In total, the collaborative effort raised more than $15,000 worth of food to support the important work of providing healthy food to our fellow community members experiencing food insecurity.
