Position: This Vocational Coordinator exists to provide employment services for persons with disabilities to assure the delivery of timely, consistent and quality vocationally related services Position Responsibilities: This position exists to assist persons with various disabilities to obtain and maintain community employment. This position will work primarily with persons with Mental Illness and AODA. Conduct career profiles and assessments in the community to observe individual skills, abilities, interests and limitations. A significant part of the position will demand several contacts with community employers to learn about and develop employment opportunities for persons on the caseload. Analyze potential employment openings and match them with the best qualified individuals Work cooperatively with various employment and behavioral health agencies in a team environment to plan employment outcomes. Complete daily and monthly documentation and reports in accordance with standards. Ensure all communication required for quality and continuity of individual employment plans. Assist individuals to complete applications, create resumes, develop interviewing skills and perform other activities to assist with obtaining employment Provide support and training to consumer(s) in community based employment to assist them with successfully fulfilling/maintaining employment as independently as possible Position Qualifications/Requirements: Good written and oral communication skills Experience working with persons with disabilities and/or sales and communication experience. Desire and drive to build and grow an expanding program, through commitment and enthusiasm with a fast moving company Valid driver's licenses and reliable vehicle, meeting necessary insurance coverage Acceptable Criminal Background Verification Bachelors degree. Area of specialization can be flexible. Preferred degree in vocational rehabilitation, human services or other related.
