Dunn County Economic Development Corporation Hires Executive Director

Veteran Executive Director to Return

The Board of Directors of the DCEDC are please to announce and welcome Robert J. Bossany as the new Executive Director following the retirement of Interim Executive Director Stacy H. Wigfield.  Wigfield will complete the 3rd 90 day contract on behalf of Leadership Solutions LLC, his consulting company, on December 31, 2020.  Bob will begin his duties officially on January 4th, 2021.

Mr. Bossany was previously the Executive Director of the DCEDC and was directly involved with many existing projects, including Andersen Windows and the Ford High Velocity Center, restaurants and other manufacturers.  He was known to pursue all avenues to improve the economic welfare of the entire county.  Bob has worked in the financial services industry and corporate management levels of numerous companies including Beatrice Foods and Preferred Harvest, Inc.  He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and has lived in Dunn County for over 40 years.  Bob is married and has two sons and three grandchildren.

“Bob is the perfect candidate to take the DCEDC into the future.  His prior experience in all things economic development is acutely valuable to our organization”, stated James Anderson, Chair of the Board of the DCEDC.

The DCEDC is a private nonprofit corporation that was formed for the sole purpose of promoting, encouraging and supporting positive economic development and growth for all of Dunn County.  The DCEDC works very closely with existing businesses and startup ventures, as well as companies that are interested in moving to Dunn County, to provide whatever guidance and planning they may need.  Additionally, the DCEDC provides information on any local, state and federal programs that may be available or valuable to those businesses.  The DCEDC is also responsible for promoting rural tourism as well as rural broadband access.
