Cultivating local entrepreneurs

31 Aug 2015

Have you heard of economic gardening? It is an entrepreneur-oriented method of economic development focused on increasing the capacity of a region’s existing businesses. The idea is that working with businesses that are already in a community is more sustainable for long term economic growth than recruiting big corporations from elsewhere.

Dunn County Economic Development is embracing this “grow from within” strategy of cultivating and growing area businesses by helping develop an entrepreneur-friendly culture. Entrepreneurs After Hours is an example of a great program designed to help entrepreneurs succeed.

This networking event occurs every other month and is open to current and potential entrepreneurs and anyone who has skills to share. Check out our calendar of upcoming meetings! http://ow.ly/OAQBB
