Secure a good job right out of college

17 Aug 2015

These days, collaborations between local industry and post-secondary education institutions have become more common. And that can ultimately translate to more graduates being placed in jobs.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout offers advanced degrees in manufacturing and other trades. They also have high-tech video game design and biotechnology programs. All have hands-on training opportunities, which boost real-world skills. When hiring, companies like Anderson Windows, Phillips Plastics, 3M and Vets Plus have learned to look to Stout for employees first.

“Many of our students have multiple job offers before they graduate. That’s what a UW-Stout diploma means: Exciting career options right out of the gate,” says Jacalyn Weissenburger, interim provost and vice chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs.
