Educating youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines has emerged as a national priority for a number of reasons. One of the major factors is maintaining our nation’s global competitiveness. But students will see big benefits from STEM careers as well. STEM jobs pay more than non-STEM jobs and are growing at a much faster rate.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has prioritized STEM education. One of the premiere science competitions in the country will take place at UW-Stout in May of 2016, attracting more than 7,000 people from 50 states to Menomonie

The Science Olympiad is both an event and a broader nonprofit organization with the primary goal of improving K-12 STEM education. It helps recognize students and teachers for their achievements. Find out more. http://ow.ly/OswW6
